Services For New Students

The mission of Student Services is to provide activities and programs students can utilize which will enrich their college experience and help them make the most of the time spent at the University of Northern Virginia ?Prague.

We help students to cover all the aspects of settling in Prague:

• Visa guidance
• Housing assistance
• Introduction and orientation in Prague
• International Student ID cards
• Alumni association
• Student counseling and activities
• Academic advising
• Czech language classes

When international students are preparing for their visa interview, the admissions counselors provides necessary advice on paperwork, visa regulations, as well as assistance in answering any other questions the students may have before their arrival.

Once the admissions department is notified of the arrival date, transportation and housing arrangements are being made prior to student’s arrival.

Upon the arrival student meets an Admission representative for brief orientation and review of the registration process. The student’s file will be reviewed along with the student to ensure that all information is provided and is accurate.

The student will meet with an academic advisor who will ensure that the student selects courses appropriately within the program curriculum.

All students are expected to arrive on campus in advance of the commencement of classes, attend orientation and register for the courses as per the course registration schedule and academic advisement for new students.
